U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Marshall Nerios, a firefighter, fought testicular cancer, recurring infections and chronic pain while staying on his deployment. After returning home he carried the emotional toll of his experiences and fell into alcohol use.

With the help of the ADAPT program and therapy, Nerios embraced sobriety, leaned on his family and learned to put his own well being first. He says real strength comes from setting aside pride, reaching out for support and moving forward one day at a time.
