Fort Hamilton and FDNY Remember Fallen First Responders at 25th 9/11 Ceremony

Soldiers, veterans, first responders and families gathered at U.S. Army Garrison Fort Hamilton on Sept. 9, 2026 for a memorial ceremony and wreath‑laying to mark 25 years since the September 11 terrorist attacks. Garrison Commander Col. Raul Medrano and FDNY Assistant Chief Joseph Duggan Jr. spoke about the lasting brotherhood that grew between the military and first responders at Ground Zero. The observance paid tribute to the victims and the heroic sacrifices made on 9/11 while stressing the importance of passing those core values on to future generations.
